Speak Easy grew from the belief that learning a language should go beyond reading, writing, and memorizing grammar. Real communication happens in the moment. It requires you to listen, process what you hear, find the words you want to say, and produce them naturally.
Speak Easy was created to develop those skills through real communication, helping you refine the way you speak and turn the English you know into English you can confidently and naturally use.

Hi, I'm Alyssa!
I have always loved language and the way it connects us to people, cultures, and experiences. I taught myself Portuguese entirely through immersion and real conversation. I have never taken a Portuguese class, so I learned by listening, speaking, making mistakes, and figuring things out along the way.
That experience sparked my fascination with how communication actually works. I later graduated with a degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, where I studied how we perceive, process, and produce speech and language.
Speak Easy brings those two parts of my life together. My teaching combines my love for language and culture with the science of communication, creating the kind of real-world approach I wish I had while learning Portuguese myself.
